| In June 2008 Fermiscan acquired Sydney Breast Clinic Pty Limited which is one of the largest diagnostic breast centres in Australia. The acquisition will facilitate medical endorsement and market access for the Fermiscan Test as well as provide a platform for expansion for the clinic business.
The Sydney Breast Clinic is a provider of diagnostic services for women with symptoms of breast disease. They are the leaders in the provision of Diagnostic Services, Risk Assessment, Breast Screening and Bone Density Testing to over 10,000 women annually referred by more than 3,000 general practitioners.
The acquisition of Sydney Breast Clinic has a strategic fit that aligns the objectives of both groups to improve health outcomes for women. Sydney Breast Clinic was a major participant in Fermiscan's successful validation trial.
In 2008 the Sydney Breast Clinic will be celebrating 30 years of excellence in breast care for women.
